So first off.....I survived my 3 hour glucose test without getting sick, and the good news is that I passed! So, no gestational diabetes for me....what a relief! I have now reached the 32 week mark, which my doctor had said she wanted to get me to...and thankfully, I feel pretty good and no signs of early labor yet. I am starting to get a bit more uncomfortable, but this I believe comes with the territory....8 more weeks to go!
Last week, Dylan and I attended our first childbirth class. It was actually kind of fun and we definitely learned a lot in the first session. I'm looking forward to session 2 tonight! As for my mobility status, it's been nice to get out once and awhile...although my stamina is not very good at the moment. It's amazing how much energy it takes to get around after months of not doing anything. I've been able to go to church, go out to dinner, go to the store, and visit a friend....Exciting stuff! We also had our Halloween Extravaganza at the house and I was able to participate a bit in the chaos...it was a fun, but exhausting night.

Just Another Little Bump in the Road....
So just when things are starting to look up, I received my glucose blood test lab results....and I failed! :( Am I surprised? With so many ups and downs already, this is just another hurdle to get through. Oh, and I have low iron...great! As I told my nurse Michelle, "Nothing surprises me at this point...what else could go wrong?" She chimed in, "You're almost there....things are looking better!" And of course they are....I have a beautiful, healthy little girl growing inside. God has gotten us this far and He will continue to stand by us no matter what.
So what does all this mean? Well, it could be nothing or it could mean I have gestational diabetes. I go in to have a 3 hour glucose test next Friday. The worst part is I have to have my blood drawn 4 times and I can't eat anything until after it's all over. I hate needles!
We're praying that I don't have gestational diabetes, but if I do....it's just another little bump in the road. We'll get through it!

God is Faithful...
"What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see." Hebrews 11:1
This verse has kept me going these past few months. It is such a great reminder to trust in God, even in our darkest days, for He is faithful! I have been hoping, praying and believing that God was going to heal me and continue to protect our little one. Although it's been a long journey with many days full of doubt, He has shown the power of his great love for me and my family over and over. His plans are greater than our own and although they sometimes don't coincide with our desires, He knows what is best for us....He always knows what is best!
Last Thursday, my ultrasound showed that one blood clot had completely disappeared and that the other clot was significantly smaller. Baby Girl Martin was very active as usual and looked very healthy! Although this was good news, I did not get to meet with my doctor until yesterday for the official word on my status. So the news is....I get to leave my house for 1-2 hours a day! YEAH! Of course, I still have to take it easy and not overdo it, but for now....this is excellent news! It feels kind of strange being given a little freedom that I'm not exactly sure what to do with it, but I'm sure I will figure that out.
Thanks to all of you who have been keeping us in your prayers....God listens, and He answers!
Here are some pics from the last few weeks....
The fam on Kyle's Birthday....one of my few times out of the house!

Welcome to Our Blog!
Since I have so much time on my hands waiting for Baby Girl Martin to arrive, I decided to start a blog about our growing family. Hopefully this will keep everyone up to date on what's going on in our lives....especially my pregnancy status at the moment.
So here's an update on how things are going....
I've now been on bedrest for 3 long months and we have 3 more months to go! I have an ultrasound tomorrow to see how things are going, but won't meet with my doctor until next Tuesday. Since things looked better last time, we are hoping for continued improvement and maybe.....a little more mobility for me!
Baby Girl Martin seems to be healthy and always looks good at all of our appointments. She moves around a lot which is always comforting!
Dylan is holding up well having to take on all of the responsibilities in our house. I wish I could help out, but it's just not meant to be right now. He is an amazing husband who continues to take great care of me!
We also have great family and friends who have been helping with meals, cleaning, and just hanging out with me....we are so blessed!!!
I will post some pictures soon!
